The Ephyras is a Brooklyn-based dance theater program for young people of all ages. Rooted in curiosity, creativity, and self-expression, our program offers dancers a unique opportunity to pair high-quality, excellent training with imaginative exploration and personal agency.

An ephyra is the earliest form of a jellyfish—delicate, luminous, and full of possibility. We chose this name as a metaphor for the creative journey: a beginning full of movement and transformation. Like ephyras drifting into their full, radiant form, our dancers are invited to explore, imagine, and grow into their truest artistic selves—with curiosity as their compass and self-expression as their light.
