Ballet shoes come in a range of materials and fits. Ballet shoes are arguably the most important piece of dancewear to fit correctly. Much like outdoor shoes, unsuitable or poorly-fitting shoes can adversely affect your child’s foot health. Ballet shoes should be supportive and flattering to the dancer’s feet. They should fit tight like a sock without the toe joints bending when the foot is flat.

It is recommended that you visit a dancewear store to have your child fitted for their first pair of ballet shoes. If you have questions or concerns about your dancers shoes, bring them to Basia to look at before taking off tags.
